Multi Color Imaging (MCI) of the Fundus and Fundus Photography

Multicolour imaging is yet another tool in investigating diseases that affect the posterior aspect of the eye such as a retina, the choroid and the optic nerve. The advantages of multicolour imaging in comparison to regular fundus photography include the ability to see in far greater detail retinal surface disease, retinal vascular disease as well as optic nerve disease. This is far more clearly seen with the SPECTRALIS Multi Color Imaging capability than the details that can be seen with regular Fundus Photography  Both modalities are present for use as appropriate for our patients  Simultaneous imaging during optical coherence tomography and control of eye-movement artefact allow MCI to be a powerful tool in ocular diagnostics
