Dr. Tanveer Chaudhry
Dr. Tanveer Anjum Chaudhry is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Cornea and Anterior Segment specialist at the South City Hospital, Karachi. His clinical interests and expertise include cornea and refractive surgery, small incision cataract surgery, anterior segment surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology.
Dr. Chaudhry obtained his degree of bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from DOW University of Health and Sciences. He received an extensive post graduate training in ophthalmology in the United Kingdom, and was awarded F.R.C.S (Edinburgh, UK), M.R.C.Ophth (London) and Diploma in Ophthalmology (Dublin, Ireland). Dr. Chaudhry completed his fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery in Leicester, UK, following which he served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Barnsley District General Hospital Rotherham, NHS Trust, UK.
Upon returning to Pakistan, he served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Shahzad Eye Hospital before joining Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi, as Faculty of Ophthalmology, and Consultant Ophthalmologist. Dr. Chaudhry has actively participated in academic and research activities for undergraduate and post graduate trainees, locally, nationally and internationally, and has authored many publications. He has also served as the Section Head of Ophthalmology and Director of Residency at AKUH, and established Eye Skills Lab for post graduate trainees, and developed tools for public awareness of Retinopathy of Prematurity. He continues to be a keen participant and Guest speaker at several national and international conferences. His hard work and dedication have been acknowledged with an Outstanding Teacher’s Award based on students’ recommendations.
Dr. Chaudhry ensures best and up-to-date treatment for his patients and knowledge for his trainees. Dr. S. Aisha Bokhari
Dr. S. Aisha Bokhari is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Anterior segment & Oculoplastic surgeon at The Eye Center, South City Hospital, Karachi. She has expertise in Pediatric and Adult ophthalmology including strabismus (squint) surgery, oculoplastics and trauma repair. She is well trained in micro surgical ocular procedures, including phacoemulsification, cornea and refractive surgery and other anterior segment procedures.
Having special interest in oculoplastics, she has clinical expertise in peri-ocular cosmesis, including Botox injections for upper face conditions such as frown lines, crows feet, hemifacial spasms, etc.
Dr. Bokhari is a graduate of Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry. After completing her post-graduate training she obtained her Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow (United Kingdom).

Dr. Shahab ul Hassan Siddiqui
Dr. Shahab ul Hassan Siddiqui is a fellowship trained vitreo-retinal surgeon. He has been recognized for his skill and expertise and has been awarded both an FCPS (Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan) as well as an FRCS (Fellow Royal College of Surgeon Glasgow). Dr. Rehman Siddiqui
Dr. Rehman Siddiqui is a fellowship-trained Retinal Surgeon. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal disorders, such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes and macular degeneration.
He is the only retinal surgeon with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the General Medical Council of the UK, practicing in Karachi. The CCT is awarded when a doctor is assessed to have a very high standard of training in the UK and is allowed to practice without supervision.
Dr. Rehman Siddiqui is one of the only two members of American Society of Retina Specialists in Pakistan and the only one in Karachi. As a retinal surgeon, he has vast experience of dealing with advanced and complex cataracts, in addition to dealing with complications of cataract surgery.
Dr. Mustafa Kamal Junejo
Dr. Mustafa Kamal Junejo recieved his MBBS in 2008 and completed his residency in Ophthalmology in 2014 from Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Mustafa Kamal did his MRCS in Ophthalmology in 2016 from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He did his FRCS in Ophthalmology in 2018 from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Kamal has also been awarded with FACS (Fellowship of American College of Surgeons) USA and FICS (Fellowship of International College of Surgeons) USA.
Dr Mustafa Kamal’s expertise is in advanced and complex cataract surgery, complicated corneal transplant surgery, ocular surface diseases, limbal stem cell grafting, squint surgery and Boston Keratoprosthesis. He did hands on training in Boston Keratoprosthesis from Chicago, Illinois, USA. He has also had training in Advanced Cataract surgery through Phacoemulsification from Royal College of Ophthalmologist, London, United Kingdom. Dr. Mustafa Kamal Junejo is highly interested in teaching and has worked in a teaching capacity at Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi. He is an author of many research articles which have been published in national and international medical journals and he has been actively participating as Speaker in National and International Ophthalmological Conferences. He is member of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Glaucoma Association, Cornea & Ocular surface disease society of Pakistan as well as Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society of Pakistan.
In addition to his work at the Eye Center, Dr. Mustafa serves as Assistant professor, where he heads the Department of Cornea and External Eye Disease at Isra Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology, Karachi.
Dr. Mustafa Kamal Junejo’s areas of interest are Cataract surgeries, Corneal transplant and Ocular Surface diseases, Medical Retina, Advanced Strabismus (Squint) procedures, Emergency Ophthalmology and Neuro-Ophthalmology. Dr. Muhammad Saeed Iqbal
Dr. Muhammad Saeed Iqbal did his MBBS in 1993 and his house job at Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Center, Karachi. He acquired his CCT from the Ophthalmology department of the same institute.
In 2001, he became a fellow of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) in Ophthalmology. Currently, in addition to his his clinical work at the Eye Center, Dr. Saeed serves as professor of Ophthalmology at Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences, Karachi.
Dr. Saeed has also been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow (F.R.C.S) in 2010. His specific areas of clinical interest are cataract and anterior segment surgery as well as cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Saeed is fellowship trained in Cornea and Refractive Surgery from the U.K.
Dr. Saeed is one of the leading eye surgeons in Karachi who has performed LASIK, PRK, Corneal Cross linking and a range of other refractive procedures on more than 6,000 patients in the past 13 years.
He is the author of many research articles, especially on refractive surgery. He is also a member of the editorial panel of the E-Cronicon Ophthalmology Journal.
Dr. Saeed has been an active member of executive committee of the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan, Karachi Chapter for the past six years and remained general secretary of the society for three years. He is also the general secretary of the central council of the society for ophthalmology in Pakistan.

Dr. Mahnaz Naveed Shah
Dr. Mahnaz completed both her basic medical as well as her advanced postgraduate training in the United States. She graduated from medical college in the United States, earning a medical doctorate degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and continued on to complete her training in ophthalmology at the world famous Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine. She has trained in both adult and pediatric ophthalmology at The Methodist Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Ben Taub Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital. At the completion of her training she was honoured with the Stephen Schindler Award by the Cullen Eye Institute, a recognition awarded only once annually to an outstanding graduating resident.
After completing her extensive ophthalmology training, Dr. Mahnaz completed an additional fellowship in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery in the United States. She was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology subsequent to completion of her training and re certified again through a rigorous process in 2012 and again in 2019 to ensure the process of continuous re-certification and ensure compliance with the highest standards in the provision of eye care. Dr. Mahnaz Naveed Shah is also an elected fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Ophthalmology. She maintains an unrestricted active medical license and board certification to practice ophthalmology in the United States as well as in Pakistan.
After completion of training and working as a qualified ophthalmologist in the United States, Dr. Mahnaz returned to Pakistan in 2002, when she joined the Aga Khan University Hospital as part of the full time medical faculty and as consultant eye surgeon.
In 2011, she established The Eye Center at South City Hospital, which has now grown to a full service Ophthalmology Unit that provides world class services of eight dedicated ophthalmologists, orthoptists and a team of extremely skilful technicians that help in the provision of world class eye care. The Eye Center delivers medical and surgical care over a range of sub-specialty interests including glaucoma, anterior segment surgery, advanced catract surgery, corneal, refractive surgery, vitreo-retina, strabismus, pediatric ophthalmology and oculoplastics.
